Garfield School

Pinnacle Furniture, working on behalf of the Council, supplied the FFE package for Garfield Primary School in Enfield, London. The FFE package included areas such as classrooms, admin areas, nurseries, staff rooms and IT suites. Proposals were drawn up to meet requirements whilst keeping in line with the contractual guidelines.

The Brief

21 of the classrooms featured our TeacherWall system. Pinnacle designed a TeacherWall configuration that included gratnell tray storage, integrated teacher’s desk and an interactive learning point. TeacherWalls can be adapted to suit many uses, providing a complete storage, IT and teaching solution for any classroom or area. The TeacherWall’s at Garfield School feature large whiteboard sliding doors with ample writing space, along with an interactive TV discreetly situated behind the sliding door.

The staffroom at Garfield was supplied with a large quantity of Aspect seats which have been configured into a large ‘C’ shape, wrapping around the edge of the room for staff to relax on. The popular Aspect range provides modular seating at an unbeatable value.

In total, 480 FlexiTables in Wedge shape were supplied for the classrooms. These tables allow for quick reconfiguration for flexible learning and are available in vibrant colours.

What we did

Pinnacle supplied a total of 520 Postura chairs. The Postura chair is extremely comfortable and its durability and longevity is renowned in educational environments. It fully complies with EN1729 height regulations, along with its posture and sitting position requirements. We supplied various sizes of these chairs in various colours; each colour and seat height denoting the corresponding age group.

The school’s conference room and admin offices were also part of the FFE package provided. The conference room included a StorageWall unit with beech panels and glass display cabinets for presenting sports trophies and school awards to visitors and staff during meetings. An interesting feature of this particular StorageWall was the integrated sink and fridge! A number of StorageWalls were also installed in the admin offices, along with Connect benching and tambour storage pedestals.

Other areas included in the FFE were food technology rooms featuring red splashbacks, and a Nursery consisting of a long run of StorageWall and Belfast sink units.
