The Brief

St Ignatius College, founded in 1894, is a prestigious Roman Catholic Comprehensive school for boys. The teaching spaces required an extensive update and Pinnacle were utilised for the fitted furniture package. During the briefing process they highlighted the need for plenty of storage, which we were mindful of when designing the space.

The refurbishment was to be completed over four phases to keep inline with the main contractor’s schedule. Our Project Team had to strategically manage deliveries to ensure that they were delivered during the relevant phase.

Another contractor onsite had some issues with their furniture supplier, so the client asked us to provide the Capacity Storage for the science laboratories, which we were able to deliver even with the short notice.

What we did

In the science laboratories, we provided durable Capacity Storage in different colour schemes to add a pop of colour. In addition, we added white laboratory tables and provided Techno high stools in various contrasting colours to complete the workstations. Pinnacle used Titan chairs in a vibrant blue to brighten up the IT suite. Benching for the computers was fitted around the room as well as some loose cupboards for equipment storage.

In each room, we installed TeacherWalls and StorageWalls to provide ample storage, as well as making the room as functional as possible for both the teachers and students. The TeacherWalls allow for integrated TVs and wipeboards to allow the teacher the flexibility of teaching in multiple ways.

The project has given the classrooms a burst of energy with the splashes of colour. We’re pleased that we have been able to create inspiring, functional workspaces for the students and teachers of the school.
