The Brief
Tormead School is an independent school for girls from 4 to 18 years old, located in Guildford. The client wanted to use an existing room which features large floor-to-ceiling windows, and approached Pinnacle to create a new area for the Sixth Formers that would be used as a place for the students to unwind, socialise or study.
The students created a design brief which focussed heavily on Scandi and LA style interiors, with features like copper accents, wood finishes and a pastel colour scheme. Our Design Team took the students’ suggestions onboard when designing the area, ensuring it was still practical and durable for years to come.
What we did
Pinnacle provided sleek Feast Metal Poseur tables with white frames, wooden table tops and added high Spin Stools with pink seats to work in harmony with the tables. For more relaxed style seating, we used Aspect sofas in a combination of grey fabrics to reflect the students’ creative brief which featured a variety of grey tones. To complement the Aspect sofas, we provided pink and grey Sketch soft seating in cube and cylinder shapes, along with rugs and wallpaper with geometric patterns, and Uni coffee tables and cushions in the same colour scheme.
The students requested the use of copper accents which we incorporated by painting the radiators and providing a bespoke wall clock in copper. Following the Scandi theme, we fitted vinyl flooring in a rustic wood effect throughout the whole space. We feel the room ticks all of the boxes with an eclectic mix of Scandi and LA style ideas – we’re sure the students will approve!
