This statement is made under section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 – transparency in the supply chain or dealings with other bodies associated with Eightspace LLP. Pinnacle Furniture and Office Profile are the trading names of eightspace LLP registered at Companies House under company number OC371120. This statement constitutes Eightspace LLP’s anti-slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 31st December 2020.
This statement provides disclosures concerning efforts to address the issues of slavery and human trafficking. The disclosures are intended to provide Eightspace LLP’s stakeholders with information to make informed choices about their dealings with the organisation.
Eightspace LLP is committed to maintaining and improving systems and processes to avoid complicity in Human Rights violations related to its own operations and that of its supply chain. Eightspace LLP recognises that slavery and human trafficking can occur in many forms. Therefore, throughout this disclosure we use the terms ‘slavery and human trafficking’ to encompass various forms of coerced labour.

In realising the vision through collaborative working with schools, universities, companies, strategic partner organisations, contractors, Eightspace LLP understands the importance of employing ethical business practices in all aspects of the business and that are aligned with our ethos.
Eightspace LLP seeks to promote honest and ethical conduct, deter wrongdoing and support compliance with applicable laws and regulations. These principles embodied in our Staff and Partner Codes of Conduct, reflect our stance relating to, but not limited to, slavery and human trafficking, conflicts of interest, non-discrimination, anti-trust, anti-bribery, and ant-corruption and protect the organisation’s reputation.
Eightspace LLP recruitment processes are transparent and reviewed regularly. Robust procedures are in place for vetting new employees and to ensure that we are able to confirm their identities. Their salaries are paid directly into an appropriate personal bank account and these payments will not be delayed, deferred or withheld. All of our employees will be treated fairly and equally.
As an employer based in Crawley, West Sussex, we are committed to paying the UK Living Wage. We regularly review all our terms of employment to ensure that they comply with all relevant legislation.
Eightspace LLP also has zero tolerance of any threat of physical or sexual violence, harassment and intimidation against employees and their families, or close associates.
Eightspace LLP Supply Chain
Eightspace LLP will take steps to verify, evaluate and address any risks of slavery and human trafficking identified in its supply chain.
Eightspace LLP has therefore started to take appropriate steps to ensure that there are no forms of slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains. These steps include:
- Requiring new suppliers to declare that they are not involved in form of slavery or human trafficking in line with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and have not been subject to any investigation in connection with any offence involving slavery or human trafficking.
- Provisions in our template procurement / contract documentation requiring our suppliers to take appropriate steps to ensure that there is no slavery or human trafficking in their supply chains.
We are committed to improving and implementing the Code of Conduct across our supply chain and it is our intention to regularly remind our suppliers of our obligation to comply with Eightspace LLP’s position.
Our verification process will involve an assessment of our potential suppliers on the basis of their responses. Eightspace LLP will use this information to determine the risk profile of suppliers for environmental, safety, human rights (including slavery and human trafficking) and other supplier sustainability issues. We believe that this assessment will help us to identify compliance gaps where immediate action may be needed and root causes that enable development of systematic solutions and improvements.
We will not knowingly support or deal with any business involved in slavery or human trafficking.
Eightspace LLP will assess any instances of non-compliance on a case-by-case basis and will then tailor remedial action appropriately for practices in the organisation and in our supply chain. Eightspace LLP will only trade with those who fully comply with Eightspace LLP’s stance in this matter or those who take verifiable steps towards compliance.
Eightspace LLP encourages anyone (including partners, employees, sub-contractors, suppliers and our clients) to report in good faith any issues or concerns about potential ethics, human rights, legal or regulatory violations, including improper or unethical business practices such as fraud or bribery. Any person making such reports would be covered by Eightspace LLP’s Whistleblowing Policy.
This statement has been approved by Eightspace LLP’s Management Team. This statement will be reviewed and updated as necessary or an annual basis.
